Please note: In June 2002, Photo+ Groups have been replaced advantageously by the TELLIMAGE SYSTEM. For those who want to upgrade their IRISTEXT-4000, the Photo+ option is replaced by the Teledac Image+ unit.


  1. DESCRIPTION
    PHOTO+ is a peripheral for IRISTEXT-4000-Pro message generator with I-GLNK option. It allows still video pictures to be associated with IRISTEXT-4000's alpha graphic pages. These pictures issued from a camera, a video tape recorder or any other video source are digitized and stored on magnetic disc.

  2. STORAGE CAPACITY
    - 5850 frames full size minimum, potential over 64000 according to size.

  3. ACCESS TIME
    - Less than 2 Seconds.

  4. RESOLUTION
    - 720 X 486 (CCIR-601 STANDARD) or 540 lines.
    - YUV 4:2:2 (FRAME)
    - quantization: 8-bits lum. 8-bit chroma

  5. IRISTEXT INTERFACE
    - Controlled by I-4000-Pro via RS-232 (DB9M connector)
    - picture commands such as:
    selection of still pictures or "live" source
    images capture
    multi-photo editing: zoom, inversion, field 1 or 2 or full frame.
    file maintenance: erase, copy, move.

  6. VIDEO INPUT FORMAT
    - 2 composite sources (BNC connector via adapter) or Y/C (NTSC) ( 4 pins mini-din connector) or composite analog source (Y, R-Y, B-Y)
    - integrated time base corrector
    - input filter for unstable sources such as tape recorders

  7. BROADCAST QUALITY NTSC OUTPUT (refer to following measurement report)

    - Automatic file copy to other Photo+ on the network following image or audio capture
    - Ethernet IEEE 802.3 10 base T or 10 base 2
    - TCP/IP, NetBEUI and IPX/SPX protocol support

  11. AUDIO OPTION (I-AUDIO-1 or I-AUDIO-2)
    - 1 or 2 channels option allowing to capture sound without interrupting display
    - mono input for dynamic microphone with low impedance or electret
    - auxiliary stereo input
    - stereo output which can directly supply loudspeakers
    - fade between auxiliary input and audio file
    - PCM format ("wave "file)

  12. PHOTO+ INDEPENDENT SECOND CHANNEL OPTION (I-PHOTOp)
    - added to I-VIDL-Sr for offline preparation of pictures
    - allows picture independent display of different pictures in the 2 channels (with I-VIDT-Sr)
    - 3., 4., 6., 7., 8. and 9. technical specifications above also apply to this 2nd PHOTO+ channel.
